Hugh R. Jones
Hugh
Jones is Airlift’s Executive Chairman. Additionally, he is Managing
Director and majority shareholder of Airwork (NZ) Ltd. and a Director
of Pacific Turbine and Flight West Airlines. He has been involved in the
aviation business for over 30 years and has built Airwork into New Zealand’s
second largest aviation enterprise (only Air New Zealand has a larger
revenue base) with six facilities nationwide. Airwork is primarily involved
in aviation support services, but also owns and operates a fleet of aircraft
ranging from Metroliners to Boeing 737s. Airwork also operates helicopters
in EMS and other contract work.
Hugh Jones is a founding member of the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority
and has served a number of years on its board. He has ongoing aviation
interests throughout the Asia-Pacific region is deeply involved in Airlift’s
day-to-day activities.
